Barracuda S777C C Fiber BLUE hood
The BARRACUDA self-darkening helmet (model S777C) is designed
to protect the face from sparks, melt splashes and
hazardous radiation under normal welding conditions.
The auto iris automatically darkens when the arc is ignited and after
the welding lightens again.

The hood has a flexible
head cross with a special tilting mechanism. When the welder lifts the
hood from the face, the mechanism lowers the center of gravity of the
hood closer to the welder's head. This design eliminates neck muscle
fatigue and provides the welder with greater comfort. At the moment of
ignition of the arc, the self-dimming screen in the visor of the hood
darkens in just 0.000033 seconds!
The welder has the option
to manually set how fast the screen returns to the initial light state.
There is a position switch on the cassette inside the hood:
The "short" lightening time is between 0.25s and 0.35s
"middle" is 0.35s to 0.5s
"long" is 0.5s to 0.8s
The hood uses high-performance solar cells as a power source and has a built-in two 3V lithium batteries as a backup.
As a result, battery life is extended to more than six years in normal use. After this time, the cartridge must be replaced.
